Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

EIA is a widely-practised and accepted tool that enables a proposed project to be evaluated in terms of the impact on the environment. This is undertaken by reviewing the entire design of a proposed project and identifying the various sources of environmental impacts and assessing the extent of these impacts. In undertaking this exercise at the outset of a project, modifications and improvements can be proposed and incorporated with minimal technical and commercial impact. Often, local legislation also requires such assessments to be undertaken prior to approval from relevant authorities.

We combine technical capabilities in planning, monitoring and assessment, engineering, operational systems, risk with thorough understanding of local regulatory systems and cultural sensitivities, integrating social and health impact assessments into the EIA process to ensure our solutions satisfy both regulators and stakeholders alike.

We apply a variety of state of the art assessment tools, from GIS to noise software, air dispersion modelling and visualization techniques.
